Frequently asked questions

Is this invoice generator really free?

Yes. There is no sign-up, no watermark, and no limit on how many invoices you create.

Do you store my invoices or client details?

No. The invoice is built and turned into a PDF entirely in your browser, and nothing you type is sent to our servers. If you choose, your own business details and logo can be remembered in your browser so your next invoice is quicker. Client details are never saved.

What should an invoice include?

A unique invoice number, issue and due dates, your business name and contact details, your client's details, a description of each product or service with quantity and price, any tax and discounts, the total amount due, and how to pay.

How do I number my invoices?

Use a simple sequence that never repeats, such as INV-001, INV-002, and so on, or include the year, such as 2026-001. Unique numbers make invoices easy to track and are often required for tax records.

Can I add sales tax, VAT, or GST?

Yes. Enter the tax rate as a percentage and it is applied after any discount. You can also add your tax registration number, such as a VAT number or GSTIN, under your business details.
